Mr. Ed's Bar and Grille, a Fitzgerald family owned and operated bar and restaurant, is located in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay on Delaware Ave. Mr. Ed's was originally established in 1997 as a small hometown pub, offering friendly staff, quick service, great food, inexpensive prices and great entertainment. For this reason, Mr. Ed's quickly became an island favorite amongst locals and visitors. However, in the winter of 2005, the Fitzgerald family decided to demolish the small bar and rebuild a new Mr. Ed's four times the size for summer 2005.

Now, the bar is a beautiful 8,000 square foot masonry two story bar and restaurant, connected to the Commodore Hotel, with tastefully muted decor, accented by original works of art, a unique hardwood bar top, and a striking back bar imported from Egypt. Still, after the expansion, Mr. Ed's provides a comfortable yet unpretentious atmosphere for dining, drinking, or watching a game on one of the many televisions available for viewing. Being a fairly new bar, Mr. Ed's does not have the history in which many of the other Put-in-Bay bars entail. However, within the past nine years, Mr. Ed's has become one of the islands premier bars on Delaware Ave.
